Anne Vyalitsyna for Dazed & Confused:

[May+2009+Dazed+and+Confused+Magazine+Photo+Mariano+Vivanco+stylist+Nicola+Formichetti+Anne+Vyalitsyna+Women+Management+New+York+Blog+1]

I can't really tell why I love this, but for some reason I just feel like this should be a cover image.

White on White : Whitney Port

I like this look, waist up. The lace sleeve gives it something special, and the gown is oversized but still the draping is sexy without overwhelming her petit frame. However the length is awkwardly cutting her off and the nude mary janes do nothing for her. It also would have been nice if the top of the dress made a bit more of a statement with a longer sleeve, a deeper lace/cotton combination, or a different colored lace. Despite all that, whitney with her cascading blond curls and strong red lip mastered the Old Hollywood glamour I assume she was going for.

Jennder Lawrence for WWW:

I feel like this is something that would come out if NYLON magazine and J.Crew were to ever come up with a collaboration. My favorite look would have to be the navy dress with the heart-shaped sunglasses - I love how Karan Walker played with proportions and length in the dress so then end results turned out classy and relatively timesless but still young and playful. I also adore the printed hotpants/bloomers look which showed off the summer (and a little bit toned down but still major in fall) trend of mixing wildy opposite bold prints - especially with the sparkling beaded necklace that seems to tie them together. The red maxi dress looks like Chloe Sevigny just stepped out of it. The vintage inspired dress embodies somewhat of a preview of a/w ladylike-with-a-hint-of-subtle-sexy trends in complete contrast to many of the other summer trends.

Diane Kruger looking stunning in a Jason Wu gown at a premiere for The Tree.
I don't think she could possibly look more glamourous. The only concern I have is that bit of bunching at the very top of the wait line that I doubt was intentional as it is remanisant of a muffin top on a girl we know probably hasn't eaten a muffin in years.
I just can't believe how stunning the color is.

Best Dressed: Dree Hemingway

Dree Hemingway looks beautiful in a body-concious champaign/neon Valentino Couture dress at the amfAR gala. I love her bold ring, the contrast between the colors, and how the fabric goes from super tight to flowy. I can only imagine how beautiful it must have looked flowing around her mile long legs when she walked. I would have gone with different shoes though, these ones make her look somewhat like a woodland fairy.

Best Dressed: Blake Lively in Chanel resort 2010

Blake Lively looks incredibly at ease in what is arguably out of her comfort zone style-wise. She is known for rocking either jeans, heels, and a leather jacket or one of her signature sexy gowns. Personally I think she looks her best in girly florals like this Chanel number. I understand how its harder for blonds to go out in ruffly pastel dresses and not look too much like Barbie, but I wish she'd try it more often she looks so pretty in feminine pieces.

Weekly Favorite Outfits

I love this outift - Shanae just took boho to the Rachel Zoe level. As the style-maven herself says, "I die." The modest length may be a bit sophisticated for Shanae but the emerald color brought it right back. The slit down the front along with her nude Louboutins is enough to make any one extremely jeleaous of her skinny long legs.

Leighton Meester on set as Blair Waldorf in J. Brand cargo pants, Helmut Lang top, and Derek Lam heels. I love this outfit but has Blair really surrendered to the downtown style? I can't even remember the last time she wore pants on the show.

Kristen Bell decked out in Louis Vuitton at an event for the brand. While this dress ins't a timeless style, it has somewhat of a classic feel to it. The print brings to mind something off of a Thakoon runway with the expertly blended colors mixed together to resemble splatered watercolor.

Rachel Bilson has just mastered the Parisian style with a hint of nautical nonchalance in Vanessa Bruno. The '90s style shoes are brought up to date with their bold shades of red and white thrown together, and the way her clothes are so simple and elegant while still loose and comfortable.

Leighton Meester looks equally trendy and beachy at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards where she was arguably best dressed of the night. The flirty hemlines and white texture of her Pucci mini dress make Leighton look like a beach goddess and the Louboutins make it all the more fun and glamourous. The only downside was the Cathy Waterman necklace that took attention away from where it should have been - 0n the dress.

Kristen Bell again, in Stella McCartney tattoo dress. Looks a bit like a cocktail version of the Marchesa dresses from their a/w 2010 show. She should have picked a bolder colored shoe though, and the strap cuts her legs off awkwardly. Especially when the nude color doesn't match your tan skin.

Model and Project Runway Judge Heidi Klum attends the "Project Runway" Season 8 premiere at the Empire Hotel on July 28, 2010 in New York City.

Keeping the laid back nautical trend alive in New York City at the Project Runway season 8 premiere. I love how she can pull off suck a low neckline without looking slutty at all. I adore the spotless white harem-pant-jumpsuit with the bright red heels. Im not loving the while Snookie pouf going on there but I do think it makes the outift that much sleeker with Heidi's hair up.

Vanessa Hudgens looks beautiful in her typical west-coast boho look, which was taken to the next level a la M Missoni. Personally I would have gone with a strong heel but I do like the little details like the long silver feather necklace and how the red polish really stands out against the all-nude background.

One of the chillest models around, Erin Wasson rocked Wang with a killed pair of heels at the flagship opening of Opening Ceremony... in Tokyo(?). This is one outfit that pretty much anyone can access an close copy of. Im still upset about her leaving RVCA, she had a great influence on the brand. Plus she was their in at fashion week.

Kirsten Dunst hearts Miu Miu

Kirsten at her chicest strolling around in New York City in Miu Miu's famous naked lady print dress.

Looking very lady-like in her miu miu ensemble with a darling Chanel. My favorite part of the look is her high sculptured neckline.

Best Dressed: Jessica Biel

2010-06-04-JessicaBiel1.jpg

Jessica Biel in Sergio Rossi pumps, gorgeous natural makeup, and a stunning Pucci gown from their a/w '10 collection to the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie A Team. The draping is beautiful and the lace insets give it just the right amount of playful edge for the red carpet. breathtaking.

For Fall - Leather Pants:

Leighton Meester

I got my first pair of leather pants today. No more relying on obviously-faux-leather-leather leggings to get me through the winter. Now all I need are a pair of chunky ponyhaired wedges and a killer pair of motocycle boots and I'm ready for Tommy Ton's lens.
"For people who are very interested in fashion, you can only go so far looking at a red-carpet image." - Tommy Ton

Karmen Pedaru

I love her cheekbones and insane - almost tribal - earrings.

Tali Lennox in Dolce & Gabbana

Tali Lennox in D&G

Honestly, I don't think she is pulling it off. I love this dress but you kind of need more of a 'fierce' attitude while wearing it instead of Tali's which is somewhere between deer-in-the-headlights and bored-out-of-my-mind. Her hair which is normally pretty looks poufy ad adds twenty years on her. I love this Dolce & Gabbana gold lame dress worn at D&G S/S '10 show but it would have looked so much better with pointy toed stilettos rather than chunky wedges with a non-figure hugging dress that is already slightly baggy - but in all the right places. I desperately want to throw an emerald green necklace over the look.
Tali is Annie Lennox's daughter.

Lucy Hale for Who What Wear:

My favorite show of the summer was by far Pretty Little Liars. I am obsessed with the books, I've read them all. I actually got the first one the day it came out, a habit which I have kept up with for the whole series. I love Lucy Hale's charachter Aria's style. Its a great mix of punk-rock, girly, and boho. Lucy also has great off-camera style which isn't really definable. More of a mix of everything, but always chic and simple with a hint of trendy. Love this shoot she did with WhoWhatWear.com it seems like something that came out of a Prada lookbook.

Look of the day: a/w 2010 Isabel Marant

Isabel Marant Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
(model: Anna Selezneva)

I love this look. It looks like a slightly toned down street verison of s/s '09 Balmain RTW collection which was featured everywhere that season. It was the Miu Miu s/s 2010 of a/w 2009. I love the slinky leggings, and the loose denim jacket with the drop earrings and kick-ass heels. Am I crazy or does Anna look a lot like Abbey Lee Kershaw here?

Louise Row, fashion's darling brit:

Louise Roe is well on her way to becoming the next alexa chung. She has the style to kill for, the TV host gig, and the adorably stunning British looks and accent all of which ms. Chung is famous for. Her british television show Plain Jane is a bit like America's What not to Wear. Only the complete opposite. Louise takes a drab girl and uses her own superhuman fashionista powers (yes, i do realize I just said superhuman fashionista) to turn a lucky girl into another worldly glamazon. Her resume also includes a few other impressive hosting jobs around the world.
Although fashion is her career, she makes it fun. She doesn't take it as seriously as some of the other people around her(*ahem* olivia palermo, Louise's competition to be the face of ELLE.com.) She used to intern at ELLE magazine and now writes a few articles for them as well as other top industry magazines. She has one of those timeless styles that is just so chic that it'll make you want to throw on a pair of Chanel flats and a YSL pencil dress and go eat lunch al fresco by the park.
Her moto? “Fashion should be aspirational, but attainable.” meaning that you should strive to create your own stunning personal style but you should be able to afford it without blowing your rent.

I actually just bought that pinstriped dress on abbey lee kershaw solely because she was wearing it in the ad... I have a problem! Shot by Daniel Jackson.

Manolo Blahnik, the creator of shoe porn:

Manolo Blahnik is a fashion legend. His shoes have developed and deserve a cult following. There aren't too many people out there who don't know his name and even fewer who haven't in some way fallen in love with one of his designs, even if it was a trickled-down outlet store version or when they saw a pair on the feet of his loyal fan Carrie Bradshaw. His shoes are always creative and daring but also wearable enough that even the most average woman could have a shot at managing to pull off one of his designs. He can do so much with just the simple idea of a heel or a flat. His shoes are crafted so well and have such a creative vibe about them that they are really more of an art than anything else.
Like many designers today, he is not one to shy away from collaborations. He designs shoes for partnerships with many other brands like Liberty of London, Swarovsi, John Galliano, Alexander Wang, and Thankoon. His name seems to be disappearing from magazines but his impact is not. While his style is somewhat outdated for the current times, many of the designs you see in magazines are actually his designs under another name because of the collaboration contracts. Also countless designers have noted him as one of their main influences and his designs as sources of inspiration.
Im currently looking at a book of sketches by Manolo which are so unique because they aren't really what all of us would call 'amazing' sketches but something about them is just draws you in. The best part of the book by far though is the foward by Anna Wintour who makes everything sound so magical (but at the same time so scary.)

"He's more than a shoe designer: he is a multi-disciplinary artist. For him, the world is a theater and we are the spectators... I love him." - Bianca Jagger

"Other shoemakers don't have the imagination, or the incredible detail - such tiny weeny buckles, they're all perfect." - Lucy Ferry

"He is the Picasso of shoes." - Grace Coddington

"By now I can run a marathon in a pair of Manolo Blahik heels. I can race out and hail a cab. I can run up sixth avenue at full speed. I've destroyed my feet completely, but I don't really care. What do you need, your feet for anyway?" - Sarah Jessica Parker
