Roayal Mania.

Although millions of people around the world were doing the same, watching something like that was kind of like getting a secret look into the private lives of Kate and Wills. When Will mouthed "Wait till you see her" or when William told Kate how beautiful she looked. Royal or not (but chances are I woulnd't be watching it if it were not) all weddings are beautiful, but what really matters is the dress.
Up at 2AM to make a traditional english breakfast of scones and breakfast tea for myself. I was so glad when at 5:51 (not a minute later, she's british) it was confirmed to be Sarah Burton, new creative director at Mcqueen, who had designed the now Princess Catherine Middleton's wedding dress. Of course it wasn't a typical Mcqueen look, it was a much more of a simple kind of beauty for the day. After all, she was becoming a princess today. Burton also did Kate's sister Pipa's dress. The attire throughout the abbey was standard formal with a load of exceptional millinery. Personally the cowl neck and buttons on Pipa were my favorite.

I know She's Never Be With You

But Peter, How do we get to Neverland?

Its no secret that I am obsessed with Peter Pan. So you can imagine the sheer love I have for this statue I visited in Kensington Gardens last week. While in London, I went on a bit of a Peter-Pan-related spree. First, I forced my Mom all around Notting Hill, attempting (successfully, thank you) to find the author of Peter Pan, J.M. Barrie's house at 100 Bayswater. Then, just a bit into the park itself, was this Peter Pan statue which J.M. Barrie himself had installed. Excited beyond that of ay normal person above the age of 10, I climbed up like was Alice in Wonderland and sat there for about half an hour.

The Richie-Maddens go to Disneyland

You know I could never miss the opportunity to post anything related to Disney.
Besides, in a land famous for dumping their kids onto Nannys, its always good to see the occasional 'mommy and me' type shot.

Annie does Rio

Anne Hathaway at the premiere of her new movie 'Rio,' appropriately in Rio de Janeiro on March 22. Constructed of a lacey Dolce and Gabbana from Spring 2011 and Christian Louboutins, the look was worn curiously close to the date her stylist Rachel Zoe went into labor. Although one glance at the getup, and there is no question that Rachel had a hand in the choosing of this decidedly Greek goddess inspired look.

In case you hadn't already figured out that Anne looks beautiful in everything, she proves it to you by still shining in a pair of typical nerd glasses. Taking a very literal cue from Jewel, whom she voices in the movie, Anne dressed head-to-toe in jewel toned Gucci at the Los Angeles premiere of 'Rio'.

And one I'm not too fond of, at a seperate screening for 'Rio' in Los Angeles.
Maybe this is the one that had to be planned while Rachel was in bed? Both Marni pieces would have looks better alone, but together the look was too much.

Celine makes even Usher and Ryan jealous.

Rihanna in Pre-Fall Celine color blocked sweater dress and loafers, as well as a 'City' Prada bag.
Managing to do so, by pairing it with pieces both scholarly and classic, Rihanna stepped out for a casual night out. Never one to sacrifice a bit of individuality, she matched the look with fiery red nails that would make any brooklyn girl jealous.

While I have never been a huge an of Rihanna, I am a fan of her style as of late. She hadn't hit it big until she was at most 17 or 18 (she is now 23,) but she has gone through some major style phases throughout her time in the public's eye. I don't know if its just me but it seems her current look is always dictated by her hair.
First came her native island girl Bohemian look. Composed of girly dresses in bright colors (before they were cool) it complimented her long, loose waves. Then came an edgier, cropped cut. Switching out waist length hair for bellybutton skimming necklines in sultry colors like black and plum. Finally comes her current phase, bright red hair. Originally a wig, now a permanent 'do.
Thanks to the help of stylist Ursula Stephens, she has settled into her own style niche. She no longer dresses for comfort, or as dangerously close to a wardrobe malfunction. While she occasionally throws in a few looks I'm not too wild about (for example: here and here,) she has certainly stepped up her game in terms of following fashion rather than just wearing the clothes. I am actually starting to fancy raiding her closet.

Personal Dance Parties,

While I've had an amazing week, I am now a bit down thinking about tomorrow's early wake-up call back reality, back to high school. I've never been a school person, its not that I don't like learning, in fact I love it. I've just never been one for such structured, it feels- and very much so it- forced. Maybe it applies further to private school than public, but to me it seems every tomorrow is today and every today is yesterday. I have a hard time focusing on things I have no interest in (like the 30 different approaches to psychology and the history of interstatehighways) which leads to me zoning out into my own world, and in turn, not doing terribly well. Apart from my ranting, I'm currently avoiding studying for AP exams by dancing like a maniac and singing at the top of my lungs to my procrastination playlist (yep, it actually exists on my itunes) which a bit something like this.

LND town!

shirt, Fashion's Night Out; skirt, Topshop; boots, LF; notebook, Jordi Labanda

Yesterday I met up with my friend Erika of Fashion Chalet for some coffee, fashion-talk, and an impromptu photo shoot! She has a great camera, and even though she doesn't have to take the photos of herself for her blog, really great photography skills. We traded massive bags (fashion books for her, and a bag of amazing clothes for me- it was like Christmas.) Its great having a fashion friend who lives so near me to discuss fashion and blogging with, always a highlight of my week!

Leaving in about 20 minutes, Im currently going through those pre-vacation nerves, hoping I have remembered everything for the week! I'll be on vacation in London and then Paris for my spring break. There are so many things I want to do, and so little time with just over a week to do them all. The Louvre, Commes des Garcons, Harrods, Loudree...
