GiGi Hadid
and her otherworldly proportions star in Calvin Harris’s new music video for
“How Deep Is Your Love.” The song, which you won’t be able to get out of your
head for the rest of the summer, features the 20-year-old model going though a
mysterious sequence of bizarre events and looking damn-good while doing so.
Hadid is a
well-documented member of Taylor Swift’s enviable #girlsquad. Swift, who has
been publicly dating the Scottish DJ since April, surely had a hand in the casting
process. I guess it comes with the territory of being besties with the world’s
most in-demand pop star.
Harris’s
video depicts Hadid trapped in a disorienting L.A. daydream that takes her on a
curious journey. From a metal operating table (oddly similar to the one Swift
lay on in her own “Bad Blood” video) to an underground rave to a swanky pool
party, it’s difficult to tell whether this is a dream or a nightmare.
While the video itself is hard to follow, one
constant is Hadid’s penchant for playing with her perfect hair. Even while
trying to figure out what the hell is happening to her Hadid masters the blond
bombshell look with aplomb. Hadid enchants in every frame, but it’s her
hypnotizing stare and golden mane that are the real stars of this video.
