Frivolity

With my lovely partners in crime, Lisa and Gerry at an event for Maje at Saks Fifth Avenue

That part of winter that comes after the holidays, but before any hope of spring weather lies on the horizon, is a trying time. It’s especially testy in New York where the simple prospect of going to dinner downtown or an event across the park becomes unimaginably difficult. So when you do finally make it outside, you’ve got to make the most of the night!

With that mantra in mind, I ventured outside of my cozy apartment for the first time in what felt like weeks (but was actually more like a day and a half) and back into society. Clap clap for me.

Breakfast is appropriate any time of day. Especially at one of my new favorite spots: Narcissa, which is tucked into the back of The Standard Hotel in the East Village.

Final stop of the evening for festive drinks and snacks to toast the new issue of Vogue with Shinola and Wilma Jean.

Great coat. I love it. Though it has a pattern, it still screams neutral. I'm so jealous of your eduction. I'm 30yrs old and if I could do it all over again I would go to Parson's or even Cooper Union. Don't get me wrong, I had a great time and recieved a wonderful education at Dartmouth but..... what am I doing now? Working in finance. Yes, it pays major dollars but it's not as much fun as fashion. I can't complain. I express my creative energy via my blog.

I wanted to live a comment on your last post about "normal school" and "fashion school". As I've done Studio Berçot in Paris, few years ago, I can talk about it ^^ Yes, we will never know the university or private school crazy parties but I have a really really amazing parties with my friends from Fashion School. We were a big melting pot of friends, Japanese, Coreen, Bresilian, Suiss, French and from different age. I truly think that I learn so much more :-)Eve xx

Yep, when I used to have to commute to the city it was torture to leave the office for lunch. I would usually bring my lunch but on occasion I would forget or fee like going out with coworkers and then regretted it, haha

Sounds like a great evening! I am totally the same way- once you drag me out of my apartment, we better be getting a lot done because I'm not coming back out for a couple days in this weather hahaha. And I totally agree, breakfast is perfect all day every day!
