Favorite Designer Sketches:

A continuation on the previous post - only with sketches instead of photos. Whenever I sketch I always use these as references. Never as croquis but as something to get ideas from the poses or how one designer does the hands compared to another way. As a somewhat experienced designer (sketch wise) I can say I know how these are one of the most important tools for you to have if your teaching yourself. There are so many ways - both pretty, weird, ugly, and plain - that you can draw your clothes on models but remember draping is the most important (and to me most boring to draw) part of the sketch.
I'm not quite sure who all of the sketches are by but I have included a bunch of the designer's names below their sketches. Click on each image to make it bigger.
