ADAM, by Adam Lippes is not new to the fashion world. Previously the brand was known as Adam & Eve but changed the name not too long ago to just ADAM so that people wouldn't confuse it with the trashy lingerine store.
Most of the looks from fall collection were very simple but luxe with a little Boho edge. There weren't very many trendy pieces that you would be able to look back on and date. Most of it you could wear practically anywhere and never be too casual or too dressy. It was sophisticated work-wear if not slightly blahh. As I watched each girl stomp down the runway (on style.com) what kept popping into my head was how each piece would fit right into a J.Crew catalog.
Save for two bold red dresses at the end of the show, there were lots of earthy tones- a safe choice for fall. Lots of warm looking sweaters, silky tunic dresses, fur lined jackets, gold dresses, some nifty looking textures, simple V-necklines and A-line skirts. It was geared to an older crowd with a few younger pieces here and there to balance everything out.
