As its the age of the blogger and bloggers are the new fashion celebrity there's no need for designers to pay celebrities to attend their shows. Fashionista posted an article about a year or so ago talking about the going rates for such here. This of course means that the celebrities who do attend actually want to be there, are friends of the designers, or just want to score some free clothes and goodie bags in the future. Im sure there were a few exceptions (I doubt Kanye goes anywhere for under $5,000, or that Bradley Cooper even knows who anna dello russo is) but in general these people have an interest in fashion and know something about what they're doing- so take notice for future red-carpet looks, maybe the runway will inspire them. Happy Thanksgiving hope your having a great time stuffing your face like I am!
