As Michael Kors leaves one Carmen behind he brings in a new 20 year old model Karmen Pedaru, who is currently signed with Ford. Following her stint as the Michael Kors opening girl in his S/S 2011 show, she stars in his new campaign shot by Mario Testino. Born in Estonia she has a very innocent almost romantic look about her which I love. Karmen's co-model in another 20 year old Simon Nessman who is signed with Major agency. I am a Carmen Kass fan though so I might have to adjust to the new pair but I have to say that Simon is incredibly good to look at. I'm not complaining.
Why they switched, I don't know but possibly to bring in a younger crowd to the brand as its generally looked at - with good reason due to the style of the designs - a slightly older crowd. Michael Kors speaks about his choice :
