Christian Siriano A/W 2010

Christian Siriano is as adorable as ever, but the industry has been leaving him out more and more as he drifts further and further from his PR days. His A/W collection was on key for the season hitting both the jewel tone and minimalism trends right on the spot. Most pieces were girlie and pretty- although I wouldn't use the word glamourous as he called it for most of the collection. The styling was very bare, not many accessories other than shoes, which for the most part looked like cheap knockoffs of designer pairs.
There were times in the collection where it looked like Christian had confused the terms 'sophistication' for 'old lady apparel' but each piece was well made despite that. The collection looked comfortable and effortless accompanied by silky ruffles on almost every look. Another key add on were drapes which at times looked like they had been attached at last minute for more runway-movement but it worked for him. If you were to attribute this collection to a style icon I'd say Jackie O, but then again it might just be all the shift dresses making me think that.
There was one mesmerizing gown that is just begging to be on the red carpet. The first thing that came to mind when I saw it was Rachel Zoe's voice saying "thats an oscar piece for sure' and 'Annie will kill it' which is perfect since Anne Hathaway will be hosting the Oscars this year. So this pink jaw dropping dress is basically a necessity for her. (but really)
