I have been a nicole richie fan (style wise) for a while. Her bohimian-chic-rich girl look has always stood out against other Hollywood party girls who are more interested in taking their clothes off for the cameras than landing on a best dressed list.
Also I love her clothing line Winter Kate. I have no idea if she is actually involved in it or not, but each piece does seem to capture the essence of the 'nicole' look at a affordable price point (although sales aren't looking good and there has been at least one law suit filed against them so far) and I've only ever seen it on sale at Kitson LA which stocks all things celebrity- pretty, classy, trashy, to all out ugly.
So I was slightly obsessed when Nicole Richie's wedding photos appeared in my mom's People Magazine last week. She got married to Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden in what looked like a pretty small ceremorny. Good Charlotte never made it to my ipod but I do remember him from when he dated Hilary Duff a few years back. Harlow and Sparrow (their kids) are adorable - with their kiddie mohawks and tattoos and all.
But obviously the most important part was her dress.
She choose a poofy tulle(over 100 yard of it) gown by Marchesa embelished with lace, sparkles, and an inscription on the sleeve reading 'Nicole and Joel'.
Precious. It was beautiful. A bit on the fluffy side, but beautiful.
The skirt even came off for dancing.
"It was magical." - Nicole Richie
"It was the best night of my life." - Joel Madden
