New positive outlook of the economy, new storefronts? At least for many of Manhattans premiere stores like Lord & Taylor (although that was more of a last resort dive for customers), Bloomingdales, and many others including Christian Dior. The new store was designed with the help of John Galliano, and is meant to resemble their headquarters in Paris- complete with the spiral staircase and all. As with most re-openings, there was a party to celebrate on December 8th. The fete attracted many celebrities and socialites dressed up Dior.
